Dan Deramos plays guitar and writes songs for Echosend. At age 5, Dan's musical career started with piano lessons, followed by cello lessons and joining chorus in grade school. He joined the Suzuki Youth Orchestra and won a first place medal for a cello solo performance. By the age of 12, Dan was formally trained in classical music and regularly performed Beethoven, Vivaldi and Bach. At the age of 13, he taught himself drums and guitar and began to learn the Blues and basic songwriting. Dan's love for writing, recording and performing music inspired him to join and form different cover, Rock and Blues bands. In 1998, he formed an original Rock band, Echosend, with some Jazz musician friends. Now Echosend plays on some of the biggest stages in Chicago and the Midwest. They have been featured in many showcases and festivals. And the band's songs have been played on the local radio and licensed to MTV and independent films. Echosend released their second full length CD in January.
